Andrea, I'm sharing this blog with all of MBASA (the spouse association at BYU) because most of us are living on very little and you're a genius! So, thanks for the great info, and I love you! -Lacey
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lacey! You are the best. :) We are excited to see you guys soon! Love ya!
DeleteI have a great easy breakfast recipe for oven pancakes. Its called,

heat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix pancake mix and water to make a runny mix. Form pan out of tin foil with high edges. Put pan on cookie sheet and pour in mix. Place pan in oven and cook for about 10 minutes until toothpick comes out clean and top is slightly brown.
You can use however much pancake mix and water as need.
I just found your blog today. I saw your crockpot refried beans pined on a pinterest board. I look forward to exploring more.

You are such an inspiration I am thinking about starting my own blog but I'm sure how much I have to offer to others. I am a newlywed who is starting the clean eating recipes including things like your bread and tortillas. Thanks for all this helpful information.
ReplyDeleteWow! Thank you for your kind remarks! Blogging is a super fun creative outlet. If you start one of your own, be sure to let me know about it. I'd love to check it out!!
DeleteLove your site! Just tried Grandma's Country White Bread--FANTASTIC. I did wind up with about 8 cups of flour like some of the other bakers. My 12 year old son ate half the loaf and said it was the best bread he's ever eaten--quite a testimonial! He needs it too ;) Maybe it will put some meat on him--Ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to trying the refried beans next. Thanks for the inspiration!
used the Pinterest button at the top of the page and it gives me the 404 error and says that the page I am looking for is not found... wanted to connect thru there but figured you didn't know it wasn't working. I am going to pinterest search your name and see if I can find it that way... Thank you for all the great tips and recipes...
ReplyDeleteHuh... I was unaware. Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention, Jacque! I really appreciate it. I go the same error just now when I checked into it. I'll see what I can figure out. Again, thank you so much for letting me know! I hope you enjoy the site!
DeleteOkay Jacque, I think I've got it all sorted out. Thank you so much! Let me know if you have any more trouble with it. :)
DeleteHello! Just found your blog today! I cannot wait to try several of your recipes! They all look amazing, affordable, and simple. I was wondering if you would be willing to put together a beginners shopping list, things that you always have on hand, but that someone starting out might not.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Jessica M.
Jessica, I'm happy you found me. :) I love your idea, and will consider doing that in a future post. (This really is a nap-time hobby thing, and I don't spend hours at the computer... so it might take me a while.) Another person asked me to post what I fed my family for an entire month, along with shopping lists, and how much I spent. Maybe I could include a "beginner's shopping list" with that post. Sound good?
DeleteSounds great!Take your time, no rush, I understand completely.
DeleteHopefully this doesn't sound cheesy, but you are helping a ton of families get back to the basics in the kitchen. I love love love that you explain everything so well and provide step by step pictures. It really is awesome. After reading one of your recipes I don't have to call a friend and ask a bunch of silly-everyone-should-already-know-this questions. I think I'm going to try your bean burritos tomorrow. :)
Thank you!
Jessica M.
Jessica... It's FINALLY up! :) Hope it helps!
DeleteLove love love ur blog! Just found it today through a link on about your refried beans, wow they look amazing, cannot wait to try all of your recipes! I was trying to pin ur flour tortilla recipe and it came up with google wanting to translate it from indonesian! also while navigating around none of the recipes at the bottom (recipes you might like) of the recipes worked when clicking, they just refreshed the page! keep up the great work and thank you for putting your recipes out into the world!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like the site! Also, I checked into the issues you mentioned... there must have been a glitch when you were on, because everything is running smoothly right now. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, though! It's much appreciated. Have a great day!
DeleteHi Andrea, I absolutely love your blog and have tried some of your recipes and they are wonderful. Would it be `possible for you to direct me to your chicken pot pie recipe? I love the idea of putting the bisquick type topping on the top. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm really glad you've enjoyed it so far. I actually don't have the chicken pot pie recipe posted yet. I really only post once or twice a week, so I still have TONS of recipes to put on here... the pot pie is one of them. :) I'll try to get that one up sooner rather than later, as I've had several requests for it. Maybe in a few weeks... :)
